Review by hotel critic
During our family vacation at Sea Rock, we enjoyed a tranquil retreat just south of Bentota. Our Family Deluxe room was spacious, complete with a comfortable terrace, good air conditioning, and a small fridge. The daily supply of bottled water was a nice touch, highlighting the hotel's family-friendly approach. Breakfast provided a range of options, from local delicacies to continental fare, catering well to different tastes. We also dined at the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner, where we found the prices reasonable and the food enjoyable. The extensive kids' menu was a hit with my daughter, who loved trying the local flavors. Although the pool is modest, it was a safe haven for the kids, especially with the rough sea conditions during our stay. The lovely garden provided plenty of shade for relaxation. For a delightful family outing, we visited the Gurusinghe Moonstone Mine, where we learned about the fascinating history of moonstones, and explored the Beruwela Harbour, witnessing the busy rhythms of local life. Our ten-day stay was comfortable and enjoyable, making Sea Rock a solid choice for families looking to unwind in a serene setting.
